Ignite Concerts Candlelit Music at York Minster Photography
Photography for Ignite Concerts by Alistair Griffin.
Alistair Griffin’s Ignite Concerts’ is a series of events featuring the musical talents of Alistair, the Ebor Quartet and special guests, set in incredible buildings and atmospherically lit with hundreds of flickering candles.
I’ve shot multiple events for Ignite Concerts now, including their promo shots, their first concert at Impossible Bar in York and at the unimitable York Minster.
The combination of the stunning setting and high contract between the shadows and light that the candles create means, whilst the photos can be difficult to take, they come out with incredible results when you get it right.
The most recent event I shot was their York Minster show with music from movies, featuring a mid-show appearance by a Captain Jack Sparrow impersonator.
